No you are not alone.
The BOD will be facing plenty of unpleasant choices. I am a bit concerned with how many/most owners will respond when the bottom line news is delivered.
Given covid-19 impact on our overall wealth, this impact is barely above noise for us for the moment.

Thanks for posting this. My dad owned an EOY at KBV which he converted to Wyndham points and then gave to my brother. I don’t know whether my brother gets information directly or not, so I’ve forwarded this on to him.

There have been two newsletters to owners since the one posted here on April 1. If you are an owner and not receiving newsletters, you should contact the resort and update your eMail address on file. The Governor of Hawaii has extended the travel restrictions to Hawaii through July 31. Hawaii is just beginning to open up inter island travel for Hawaii residents in noncritical professions.

KBV has good insurance and the insurance is being fair in paying to return the resort to its condition before the floods. The reconstruction of the resort is progressing well. However, it all takes time to get done. We will be rebuilding for months, not weeks. While the resort is shutdown, management is working a skeleton crew to maintain the resort and catch up on some maintenance items.

Darn evil Wyndham foregoing their 2021 usage rights so owners impacted by all the challenges can use their week in 2021. When will someone save us from all this abuse?
