I need a backup plan if I am unable to use holding account points before the end of the year. I've used resort credits in the past, but can no longer find information on the MVC website. I selected resort credit for Crystal Shores, but the website just showed a blank page. Has anyone successfully redeemed for resort credits recently or have a link to the current conversion requirements?

It comes up for me...

How to Redeem Resort Credit at Marriott's Crystal Shores

Add to your reservation

Add Resort Credit to your existing reservation at participating properties by calling Owner Services.

Redeem your Points

Redeem 325 Points for $110 Resort Credit. Resort Credit may be redeemed in increments of $110.

Use your Resort Credit during your stay

Upon arrival, activate your Resort Credit and use toward designated amenity services, merchandise, and food and beverage options during your stay.

Activities

  • Resort activities
  • Poolside cabanas
  • Marco Island Watersports*

Food and Beverage

  • Pizza Cucina
  • Stilts Beachside Bar & Grill
  • The Marketplace Express

You have to call or use the chat feature to make it happen, or you can do it at the concierge desk at the resort when you pick up your parking pass and get hassled by the marketing people.

I thought you had to arrange it in advance of your visit, then see the concierge to “activate” the credit on arrival. Will they let you request the credit while on property without any advance arrangements?

In Vistana it definitely has to be done in advance. Not sure about the MVC side.

I've done it on site at Cypress Harbour. It takes them a couple of days to make it happen so if you're there for a short stay it might not work.

I have done resort credits through MVC chat a few times..its easy and simple.

Last week, at WKORV the very helpful woman at the front desk suggested that I obtain a copy of my bill the day before check out and said she would mark those things on the bill that were eligible for resort credit.
She told me I could then go over to the concierge desk and they would process the resort credit and that way I wouldn’t have to potentially waste any star options
That is exactly what I did.
Resort credit appeared immediately
Star options still have not been deducted
YMMV

Interesting…glad to hear this worked for you. I haven’t used resort credit from SO since 2023, so maybe it has changed.
