Resort advice

So my employer just informed us that we have the week off between Christmas and New Years. This is great, but doesn’t leave me much time to plan anything, and all the good stuff is taken of course. There’s plenty of availability at Fairfield Glade, Fairfield Bay and all the Branson places. I’ve never been to any of these places and am looking for advice from those who have been there (please). Probably travel between the 27th/28th to the 31st of December.

I’ll be traveling by myself and would like to have the option of doing things outdoors, light hiking if possible. I know the weather will be on the colder side (I’m from Boston so anything will be warmer). I’d also like a place where I can relax onsite. And nearby restaurants and attractions would be great.

I’ll keep checking for Florida but I doubt anything will open up. Any advice from you experienced Tuggers would be appreciated, thank you!

There are vacancies at star Island, Cypress Palms and Daytona,,, thats all I checked

3 or 4, whichever is available. The website’s search feature, while slightly improved, still takes forever to search. Regional searches don’t seem to be accurate, at least from what I’ve seen

Branson will likely have a lot of Christmas shows, and they also have the wax museum, Titanic museum, lots of restaurants, lots to do, rivers and outdoors - ziplines and stuff. The Branson Belle (Riverboat) has shows running that week.

Sorry. I misread that. I defaulted to my favorite example of a good deal. Week 50 in Orlando. Value season is half the price of prime

I’m traveling from Boston, looking for 27th-31st or 28th-31st. Now I need to figure out how to get to Branson...

I could try spanning Christmas and just show up late. Availability seems sparse the week afterwards so I wonder if there will not be any dates available for “check out”
