reserving more than one room

I am planning a family trip for hubby's bday to club Melia in the Dominican Republic. My daughters are on our Wyndham contract and they will be in the other 2 rooms. So do you know if I will be able to book the three rooms or is there a limit to reserving this resort? I noticed in someone's comments that they had a limit but I wasn't sure which timeshare they belonged to. If I call Wyndham with just this question will I be charged for it? I am so use to Disney where you can pick up the phone and call and ask anything you want whenever you want, I am sort of paranoid with Wyndham.

We have two names on our contract so in the past we have been able to book two condo’s (one under each name) without having to use any guest certificates. Any more that that would require a guest certificate. Have never gone to Club Melia so I am not sure if they have any restrictions on the number you can reserve. If you have the points and are within your reservations window I would think you could reserve all you want based on the number of people you have on the contract.

I have never been charged for asking questions either by calling the resort or by calling Wyndham nor have I ever heard or anyone being charged for asking questions. I don’t think you have to worry about calling and having your questions answered. Go ahead and give them a call.

I'm guessing this is through RCI? I think even if there is a 1 in 4 rule if you book multiple rooms during the same week or connecting weeks it doesn't trip the rule. I would call RCI to confirm.

Big Disappointment. Just called RCI and you CAN NOT book more than one room/ week. They have a 1 in 3year rule. Any one have any ideas??

I am not familiar with Club Melia in the Dominican, but I do know that you can book multiple rooms at Hard Rock Punta Cana through RCI. We have done so twice. We loved the resort and had a great time. Our group ranged in age from 18-55 the first trip, and the second trip was just family. Not sure if Melia is all-inclusive. Hard Rock had a mandatory all-inclusive fee.
If you are set on Melia, why check the prices on their website, or another discounter like Expedia?

It's nice to get good news in the form of an email. I wrote to RCI about the resorts and they have written back that I can reserve more than one room in the same week. Evidently the person that I spoke to on the phone didn't have the training or the energy to verify what she was saying about the 1 in3 rule. I have always learned to verify with someone else if you don't think the answer is right. Back to planning. Thanks everyone..
