Reservations for Westgate Canyons resale

I was informed that Westgate Canyons allows owners to reserve eleven months ahead. The sales department stated that as a resale you can only reserve four months ahead. I was further told that this was in the CC&Rs.

Does anyone know the truth to this. Is a resale owner allowed to make reservations 11 months ahead of time or not? Do first time owners get priority on room views and dates?

I booked a reservation through the sales department 11 months in advance. 1 month before my reservation they changed me out of a 1 bedroom to a studio. Can they do that to a resale owner?
 
Does that particular resort "make" you use a "sales department" to make reservations? (Doesn't make sense to me.) Why wouldn't you use the "reservation" department, or owner services?

"Can" they change your 1-br reservation to a studio? Apparently they can, "IF" they did it to you---BUT---are they supposed to? I highly doubt it. Did you call them and "raise HE**" !!!??? (If you have a "confirmed reservation", then THAT is what you have. YOU can change it to something else---subject to availability, they CAN"T !!!)

As far as reserving 11 months out versus 4 months---again, that doesn't make sense. What does you contract/by-laws/CC&R's say.

I would suggest that you call them (owner services/reservations/mangement) NOW---or at the first opportunity, when they are open, and get some "straight" answers.
