Attempting to walk a reservation - next day shows available but when I attempted to change, it says "no availability"

When I chatted with agent, they said:

"Thank you for your patience. The night of x is available for 1,120 more points. However, the reservation is not able to be modified due to the resort's booking system change. Your reservation will need to be canceled and rebooked to adjust."

Which they successfully did.

When I asked what this means, they wrote:

"Borgo underwent a change in their booking system, which makes reservations for this resort non-changeable until further notice"

Is this a new or ongoing issue at Borgo; has it happened elsewhere; and does this have anything to do with the walking problems some folks (me!) have had at Elara during F1? Or is this truly just a one-off?

It is happening to other properties also, not a Borgo thing but a system thing.

When I tried to walk in Japan a few months ago I ran into the same issue. The CSR didn't say anything about "...the resort's booking system change..." but just said that the system wouldn't allow her to modify the ressie. So she asked if she could cancel and rebook and she did successfully. Same thing for the next couple of days until I had the dates I wanted.

It is a system issue...

HGV is upgrading the inventory for each resort. This is in preparation for moving to an integrated booking system. At least that is my understanding of a conversation with a knowledgeable CSR.

We are suffering various reservation issues, there is a banner right now that RCI and DEX reservations may not complete unless you get an email confirmation. I think it's also affecting Embarc making DEX or Interval point The Club reservations.

We don't use the Hilton unified site to reserve in Interval. It's a booking made on their site then .manually confirmed by Embarc.
This is the posted notice we have for DEX

Thanks for the correction, I confused The Club with Interval.

We actually don't make "The Club" bookings either. It's another case of Hilton taking shortcuts on their websites by doing one notice for everyone. They do it in many different places such as booking confirmations (checkout is 10am on everyone's confirmation - BUT - it's 11am for Members, 10am for others). It's too much work doing separate confirmations so they put the wrong info for bookings on the Member site. Same goes for resort fees (we don't have any for our own resorts). There's probably others. Their IT sucks.

I think this is why people who use DEX also see resort fees shown but then aren't actually charged the resort fee at the property. They are just using blanket statements across several systems. Easier, but lazier that way.
