Hi again. We decided to rescind our contract. We emailed it to the address on the contract to MVC and haven’t gotten a response to confirm. Curious what is supposed to happen next… thank you!

They are under no obligation to notify you of the progress of your rescission. All you can do is watch the credit card account that the down payment was charged to. That is where your refund will be returned, and it can take up to 45 days. It will probably be sooner, it just depends on when in your billing cycle the refund is posted.
Next. . . .? . . . Go celebrate. Start shopping for a resale if you still want to timeshare.

That’s super helpful! I was assuming they’d start bothering us with trying to get us to stay and wanted to be armed for that 😉

Only an email? Is that what the instructions said? Usually mail with proof of sending is advised.

Most Marriott contracts provide an email address for rescission. That said, in addition to email, I would also suggest some type of mailing that provides proof of mailing. Like First Class Mail with Certificate of Mailing, or Certified Mail. I would never rely on only one form of delivery for something like this.

Agreed - i would also use mail with proof. It establishes/proves the recission date, which is important !
