Hi, I just bought a timeshare in Branson through Capital and when I went to the "workshop" they upsold me on points through what I now feel were deceptive promises or even outright lies. I upgraded with this being part of the reason why. I now would like to just cancel this upgrade. I don't care if I just go back to my previous contract, but I know I do not wish to keep this upgrade which looks like it was just more points. I am not looking to leave the timeshare, just back out of this "upgrade".

Any help is appreciated.

Find the information in the paperwork and mail your rescission. You don't have to keep it. You aren't stuck with what you "bought."

Buy something other than Capital Vacations points. There are many timeshares worthy of owning, and that is not one of those.

yes cancel! we dont even need to know the details to know whatever you signed was a bad deal for you!

the contract will specify the exact instructions you need to cancel and the length of time you have to do it, its measured in days!

I understand rescission for buying a timeshare but I would like to cancel this "upgrade". I already bought the timeshare months ago and am legally bound to that first contract, but I am not legally bound to this new one I would think. Would I just mail in a rescission for the new contract? and where is the contract ID? In the link you posted, it says "Regarding contract "123" for purchase of a timeshare at "ABC" resort" Where do I find that "123"?

I actually did not receive a contract number for the purchase of these points that I can find anywhere. Everything was Docusign. I got a flash drive but it does not have a copy of everything I signed on it. It seems to be a standardized flash drive with general information on it. I have written up a letter specifying the date the contract was signed in place of the contract number. DO you think that will work?

Thank you all for the help. I have successfully cancelled the contract. I was able to find the contract number in my emailed Docusign documents. This website is a fantastic resource for anyone needing information on timeshares. I plan to be lurking around here quite a bit for a while. Thank you again for the help.
