I was just going through some paperwork from our sales presentation from June and thought it may interest some of you to see the huge difference between resale and developer purchases (although I'm not telling most of you anything you don't know).

In June we got a free stay in Tuscany village for attending a presentation. This is the amazing, one time only, best he's ever seen offer that was made to me:
4,100 points every other year at one of the Myrtle beach resorts for ONLY $13,100 plus closing costs (and club initiation etc etc).

In October, we just closed on a judi koz resale 2br gold 5000 every year on the blvd in vegas for $2,500 plus costs.

Point is, we paid so much less for so much more. I'm not telling most of the people here anything they don't know, but for those that stumble on to the site like me before they go to a sales pitch, I hope this post can save them tens of thousands of dollars like you guys and gals saved me.

Congrats. That is a good deal.
OTOH, we need peep to buy retail, so they'll be resale opps for the rest of us.

.

Yup. Definitely the case with HGVC.

In contrast, it's not so much the case with DVC where resale and direct prices are quite a bit closer. For smaller contracts there it can actually make sense to buy direct as the various fees are lower and can mitigate the small point difference.

Cheers.

This makes me smile.

So basically you'll hit your break even point after 1-2 stays depending on where you stay. That's awesome!
