Looking to buy a resale in a mandatory resort.
We liked the idea of a LockOff because of the ability to separate, plus the extra points would allow us to take some 81k years, bank the balance, and every third year take a "bigger" vacation.
Considering this is a resale in a mandatory resort and not developer purchase.... Is there any benefit to buying a lockoff versus buying a 2 bedroom then buying a 1 bedroom?
Looks like the points are the same. I am guessing the maintenance fees would be the same. Sure, I know I will have to pay two closing costs and if I wanted an actual lockoff I would have to use StarOptions instead of my deeded week, but other than this, is there anything else?
