I am sure this topic has been covered multiple times however I am looking to purchase at Grande Ocean in HHI and would like any feedback/recommendations on reputable brokers. I know there have been some names mentioned over time on these threads but I have not heard back from a couple.

Thanks for your time.

Others that I've had very positive dealings with, and have referred many others to with success over the years, are Jessica Burke from timesharing2000.com and Shelly from transactionrealty.com

Having experienced very inflated pricing from one of the people freq. rec. here, in general I would suggest discussing pricing with several realtors, as well as looking on EBay, and asking here on Tug to get a sense of where you should be at. Keep in mind that there's always another opportunity; ROFR has been active lately, but as long as money is held in escrow the worse thing is that you try again. Don't get trapped into paying a higher price to avoid ROFR.

Here is a list I have seen DeniseM post often....

Here is a list of reputable brokers who are Tuggers:

Syed Sarmad (TUG user name Syed)
www.advantagevacation.com

Fred Messreni (TUG user name FredM if you want to send him a pm)
www.timeshare-gallery.com

Seth Nock (TUG user name the same if you want to send him a pm)
www.sellingtimeshares.net

Judi Kozlowski (TUG user name the same if you want to send her a pm)
www.timeshareresalepros.com

Samuel Rodriguez, who works with Seth Nock at sellingtimeshares.net, was also a pleasure to work with. You will find many recommendations for him through the TUG archives as well.

I used Jodi Martin at Five Star Timeshare to buy at Grand Ocean in June. It was very smooth and quick.

I always find them on Redweek, but they are listed there by brokers.

And then there is always Marriott Resales, where they act as a broker. It's at least good to refer to the site, since there will be ROFR.

https://www.marriottvacationclub.com/resales/index.shtml

Just select South-Carolina/HHI and then select Grand Ocean.

Interesting comparing Grand Ocean prices listed on the Marriott Resales site to those listed on Seth's site (Silver, Gold, & Plat):

When comparing, I used Firefox for Marriott Resales and Google for Seth's site, which facilitated the easy comparison.

Have Fun :D

2nd this...

I bought 2 weeks thru Samuel and Seth; great experience. Great closing company too.

They are sellers AND users/owners--quick to offer advice and solutions.

Another vote for Samuel. We have worked with him on several purchases. Nice guy.

Samuel Rodriguez sold me my Aruba Surf Club - a very smooth transaction.

Actually a lot of good people

I bought a few weeks from Samuel Rodriguez. Lisa Roach at Fidelity does a lot of Redweek.com full service ads. Jodi Lyn is very nice. Any way you go, you still need to shop carefully for product and value. Feel free to negotiate tough. If you lose a week another will come along.

I recommend you join BBS - free - and sign up for PM and email. You may find a TUGGER with an MGO week to sell. Also join TUG for a small fee and put a buy wish ad on the marketplace. I found an MGO week with a buy wish ad.
