Reopen Fla. Task Force seeks public comments

By Tom Stieghorst / USA / Travel Weekly / www.travelweekly.com / Apr 28, 2020

“The Reopen Florida Task Force appointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis has created an online portal to solicit public comments concerning how to manage the reopening. The governor's office said "public feedback will be a critical component" in the work of the task force, which has a working group on tourism, construction, real estate, recreation, retail and transportation that is being chaired by Visit Florida CEO Dana Young.

The portal is accessible for submissions on any topic related to the reopening of the Florida economy.”

In NH the governor has a reopen task force also. Funny he did not have a shut down task force.

Anyway, these openings are just little crumbs they are throwing out there to give the impression that they are opening up businesses, when the fact of the matter is- and the governor here said it himself when asked- we are not going back to "normal" like we were prior to March 1st for a very long time.

That says it all.

Florida lawyer dresses as Grim Reaper to scare off beachgoers, protest reopening

For Florida-based attorney Daniel Uhlfelder, donning the guise of a recognizable symbol of death was the only way to get people to listen. Opening Florida's beaches too soon is a mistake, he said, and one that'll cost lives as the county is still battling COVID-19.

But it is quite an advertising ploy. :whooopie:

Things are really opening up around here. The beaches are now open. Not everything totally open, but feel like I can get whatever I want. Most of the restaurants are open, mainly curbside pickup or delivery, but I see the phase 1 25% occupancy being set up. There seems to be a way to get what you need, and maybe more difficult, but you can get what you want

I agree with him.
