Renting question

I have read the recent thread on renting abound points. 75% of it isn't even about Marriott resorts. I have one simple question. Has anyone ever had Marriott cancel a reservation made with Abound points and rented out to a person unrelated to you.

If you respond a simple yes or no will suffice. The other thread has six pages of discussion that I've already read.
 
I thought I saw someone report, third hand information, about someone getting warning letters about a large number of Surf Club rentals.
