Has anyone actually rented an exchange on Redweek and what were the ramifications, if any?

Are you talking about renting an exchange that was acquired through Redweeks own exchange program or are you talking about a Redweek rental ad for a week acquired via II or RCI exchange?

If the week is acquired via Redweeks exchange program then as Denise said, you are permitted to rent it.

If a week is rented from a Redweek ad and the week was acquired from an II or RCI exchange you risk having the reservation cancelled and the owners account suspended.

gmarine, can you cite an II policy that specifically spells out the rule that prohibits the renting of exchange week. I can't find it in the II guest certificate. Thanks,

From the II Guest Certificate-

"Guest Certificates may be used only by the individual(s) named on the Certificate, are non−transferable, and may
not be sold or used for commercial purpose."

It's in the membership terms and conditions posted on their webpage - http://www.intervalworld.com/web/cs?a=60&p=legal

And we have had many anecdotal reports of II members being caught and penalized.

Here is the specific wording from the T&C:
The Host Accommodations may be used only for personal and noncommercial purposes. Members are expressly prohibited from exchanging or renting the Host Accommodations.
Host Accommodations means any week that comes from II - an exchange, a Getaway or an AC week.

What is the best way to flag II to EBAY auctions? I have sent customer service emails, but this same ebay selling is selling multiple Marriott Newport Coast Villas Getaway weeks...it just irks me that they are profiting off our II inventory...

Thanks
