 I've been trying to research just how much the going rental is for a summer property in Vermont. Browsing the TUG classifieds has nothing similar, and checking other sites has posts on this particular resort all rented with the rental amounts not visible. Should I call the resort or is there an avenue I'm missing? I'm trying to be as vague as possible as this is not an ad as I think this will rent easily, but I want to be competitive. Many thanks in advance.

Redweek.com has rentals for most resorts. Whether or not there are active listings there for your resort, Google the name of the resort (in quotes) along with other terms that might bring up rental listings, such as rent, rental, week and/or timeshare.

Also, be sure to note that if this is a week you obtained through an II or RCI exchange, you run some serious risks if you try to rent the week, as it would violate their clearly written policies. You wouldn't want to be in the difficult legal situation that would arise if your renters showed up to check in and were turned away because the exchange company had found out about the rental and cancelled the reservation.

I believe the OP has a week to offer for rent to others. He/she has been very careful to avoid posting the name of the resort so that it wouldn't appear to be an ad, which we would have to edit or delete.

Dave, you're right, I did not read the OP's post very carefully. I thought the OP was looking to rent something rather than rent "out". Sorry.
