You received a IRS form with the real estate tax for your timeshare? Who is now claiming that?

You can still claim the property tax on your timeshare, if it's itemized on your maintenance fees. See the Tax article, on the TUG Advice page, for all the details.

Since timeshare real estate taxes are generally reflected as a very specific line item on annual maintenance fee bills issued in those states which do not bill those taxes separately (...as Maine does, California too and a few other places), what's the issue / problem?:confused::shrug: Very easily retrieved info, very easily claimed deduction.

We certainly deduct all of our timeshare real estate taxes each and every year, but the fact is that it's not serious money anyhow, even for a collective 7 weeks.

We've never gotten a separate form, have always claimed the RE taxes as they're itemized in the annual Operating Budgets.

I deduct the TS property tax when I can remember to do so. It is only $28 so it is easy to forget. The property tax is billed separately by San Diego County.
