What are the rental fees for both? Which one is better and why? Is there another
website that is better?

You'll have to be more specific on the rental fees question. You mean rental fees that the renter pays? Or the ultimate cost/fees charged to the owner when the unit is rented?
There is no "better", it's whatever works for you. The fee structures, etc. are vastly different (there's multiple threads about this in this forum).

Redweek seems to have the upper hand in terms of traffic/visibility/exposure.

Koala has a better UI. It's a quicker turn around time to verify listings and it has lower in fees. As of now, it costs an owner nothing to post a listing until it gets rented. Redweek has more visibility because owners did a great job for years directing people there. It became big because owners made it big. They over charge owners to list and over charge renters to rent. contacting them is a chore when something with the listing goes wrong and they have been known to mis verify listings. like changing lockouts into premium two bedrooms and not alerting the owner that they changed the listing. Then it takes weeks to get someone to correct anything. Their customer service is extremely poor these days. But because of the of the amount of non timeshare owners who feel comfortable on redweek, it is the best way to rent your unit.

Sorry. Fees that the timeshare owner pays.
Owners pay 59 dollars to post the rental, 99 dollars when the listing rents. Renters pay $350 dollars which redweek automatically adds to the listing price that you set.

I think Redweek just changed (well like 2-3 weeks ago, I know it was like 2 days AFTER I listed mine) and the $99 fee is now a percentage or sliding scale.

I don't use Redweek anymore because of their massive changes in terms and fees. Currently, I am using TUG, DashWeek, FindingMeili, and my own webpage

How successful are DashWeek and FindingMeili in your experience? Is the process itself any easier than Redweek or Koala?

TUG, DashWeek and FindingMeili are all really easy, and they don't hold your rent until after the date rented.

I haven't used Koala, and I don't know how successful RedWeek is these days, because I haven't use them for nearly a year, or whenever it was that they eliminated DIY Ads.

What do you use for a rental agreement on Tug,etc?
No idea, I've never rented and don't have any current plans to do so. I'm just curious and like to have an idea of how some things work.

what do you use for a rental agreement and how do you determine rental price?
thanks

I wrote my own rental agreement, but there is also a good one on the TUG Help and Advice page (linked in the blue bar at the top of the page.)

I price rentals by looking at the going rate for identical rentals on several different websites, and pricing mine in the bottom 50%. You will see many Ads that have astronomical prices, because the owner doesn't know what they are doing. Please note that you cannot get the same rent that the resort does, because they offer terms and security that an owner can't really match.

Neither of them!

Redweek changed owners two years ago and ruined their platform by adding hefty fees for both sides, restricting owner-to-renter communication, and pushing their full-service option. I quit using them after 22 years because of all those changes.

I gave Koala a shot and put up a few free listings, but got zero bites. It’s free to list, but they take a hefty 8% cut if it rents. Lately, I've just been renting to friends and family. I really think we need to be more active on TUG and drive more traffic here. We can make TUG a way better alternative to Redweek and Koala so we can all successfully rent out (or rent) our timeshares without the hassle.

They changed the success fee at the end of March.
