In a Getaway and exchange, are they not issued a reservation confirmation a name. Does not the resort check the ID of the party requesting occupancy? How do thsy get around that?
How are the reservations issued if the TS is in a trust, LLC or corp?
They always ask me for ID and I am an owner.

The exchange member gets a guest certificate, in the renter's name, for the renter. Regardless of how the exchange company membership is listed, a guest must have a guest certificate, in their name, to check in.

When they get caught - it's because the exchange company finds out they are renting exchanges, and cancels the exchange. People usually get caught because:
-they are requesting an unusual number of guest certifacates
-someone turns them in
-the unsuspecting renter calls the exchange company to verify the rental and rats off the owner.

For me it still simply comes down to, if RedWeek publishes such a specific rule against renting what is not allowed to be rented, why doesn't RedWeek do anything to stop the rentals which break RedWeek's rules? I'm not asking about RedWeek policing any other systems' rules, I'm asking about their rule on their website. With Marriott and DVC exchanges, at least, it is sometimes glaringly obvious that RedWeek's rule is being broken. RedWeek should either enforce its own rule or take the stupid thing off its website, because some folks who are using the website are probably relying on that rule to protect their vacations.

"Not allowed" is not the same thing as "illegal." RedWeek.com's rule is that you can't list anything that is illegal to sell. RedWeek.com should not be expected to enforce an RCI rule saying renting exchanges is not allowed.

The timeshare police will not come out and arrest someone for renting an exchange week. RCI can impose sanctions against people who violate the rule but that's it.
