Does anyone have a phone number/extension that i can use to talk with a real person at Redweek? I have sent them 2-3 emails, no response in a whole week. My issue is relatively simple for a service i already paid for, i just do not understand how they can simply ignore incoming emails.

I tried their line, impossible to get anyone to talk to. I used

Thank you, i think that it is the same phone line like the number i had. I will try tomorrow though. If they are an internet company they should respond to the bloody emails they get!

In my experience so far, which is limited, is to be careful with paying any money to anyone involved with timeshares. I do think that Redweek is reputable, so perhaps emailing someone would be more helpful. Many online companies, as well as offline companies like Marriott, are terrible at responding to customer service.

to clarify, the money i paid was to Redweek

Danny - I would ask your question here - someone may know the answer.

Here you go: how long does it take to verify a rental (out) ? I sent them the Vistana reservation on August 18th. About a week ago i sent them an email to ask about the status of that verification. I did not hear from them at all, not even to acknowledge that they have received my email.

Hi Danny - I use Redweek a lot, but I can't answer this question, because I think the verification is a waste of money. I like Redweek for DIY rentals, but anything that involves their rental services seems to be slow and clumsy. I don't know where it is right now, but someplace there is a thread about Redweek's managed rental services and the owner of RW actually responded. If you can find that thread, you can send him a private message.

thank you Denise, i will look for that thread.

The Redweek owner has posted on TUG. His name is Maurice and his username here is "mla".
I have used Redweek for purchasing weeks, renting then out and renting them from others.

Their rental service is clunky, but I have always found them to be responsive (I have only used email). I take it you are trying to rent out your Vistana using their full service option. Part of that requires you to provide your confirmation (which you did). You need this to be done quickly so they will put your ad up. In my experience it only takes a business day for them to do it. You do not see your ad posted? Or is it posted - just not as verified? Clearly a month is way too long. Again, just look for your ad on their site as if you were a renter - should tell you right there if it is verified or not.

All verification does is give a bit of peace of mind to prospective renters. If you are one of 20 ads on Redweek for the same week, it may help you find a renter quicker. Otherwise, I see no value in it.

i was contacted by Redweek, my little problem was solved promptly. Thanks Tug, thanks Redweek!

Danny - Please enlighten us - what did they say?

basically the week was promptly verified

What led you to believe that it wasn't?

before the verification there is a "pending verification" sign on the listing. What i did not know at the time and i am happy they clarified, only the owner can see the banner. Once verified, it changes to "verified and protected"
