HI all, i had purchased an upgrade through orlando while on vacation i then sent in my cancellation letter on the 5th day and then i sent a second notice because i wanted to make sure if one didnt make it that the other one would. I see both got delivered. Has anyone done a follow up after letter was delivered? to make sure it was cancelled? Should i be calling someone. thanks so much for the help.

All you have to do is relax now. Vistana is a reputable company and will cancel the purchase.

Don't do anything. It will be cancelled. They won't disobey the law. They are under no responsibility to notify you or anything . It can take up to 45 days to see the refund, but probably won't.

Patience.

Hello Maria,

Just checking on something here - did you send the letter (or letters) via a method that would give you proof of delivery and/or a receipt of the letter?

See the emphasis.

yes i used usps certified mail then i did usps overnight delivery . both show delivered but i did not hear from Vistana and was not sure what the next steps were. thanks for your comments and reassuring. they do not owe me any money but i just dont want to get stuck with the loan of 16k which is what we had bought.
thank you!!!!

That is what caught my attention Controller1 - seeing it was delivered suggests Maria may not have any physical proof of this. I admit I am trending toward the overkill on this but I wanted to be sure Maria could produce (if necessary) something printed or had a PDF or screen shot on her computer. Some proof that would be less likely to disappear over time.

Most assuredly, what I am suggesting likely won't happen or be needed.
But on the very outside possibility it might, I can recall having printed (or scanned) copies of receipts has been very valuable to me over the years.
