We are leaving this Saturday for NOLA. We are a little concerned about the flooding and extensive rain that has hit LA. Does anyone know what the situation is in NOLA at the present time? We have been watching the weather channel but there is vague information. Thanks.

Severe weather (rain and heavy thunderstorms with flooding) at this time. Weather forecasted to get better late Sat. afternoon or Sat. night. I suspect there are flight delays into/out of MSY. The weather is always iffy this time of the year here.

Looked at FlightAware earlier. Most of the rougher weather was west and north of the airport. Flights were still leaving/coming into MSY, but most were being routed south of the city near the Gulf. I'm hoping most of this will be out of here early Sat.
