Received letter for Power of Attorney?

We purchase a timeshare of off Ebay in December and have received a letter for Timeshare Closing Services that it has been fully transferred. However with that letter is also a Limited Power of Attorney to give Jeff Ingram full power and authority to execute a proxy for any property association meeting the real property and personal property located at Wyndham Seawatch Plantation.
I have no idea who this guy is and I do not feel comfortable giving him this power.

Has anyone else seen this or done it?

Thanks

I think it's standard for them to send that form for their closings. I certainly would not sign it - I just threw mine away.

I own at Seawatch Plantation, I think it would be a very bad idea to sign any power of attorney with a re-seller for the meetings. This lets the re-seller to vote your ownership interest as they see fit and not in your best interests. Re-sellers selling Myrtle Beach for $1 or very very cheap is not in the best interest of existing owners.

I just got the same letter from Timeshare Closing Services, Inc. and was amazed at the nerve of them. This is wrong on so many levels....

I thought Timeshare Closing did a very good job on my closing, but this really disturbs me and changes my opinion of them. :ponder:

I also got the form and threw it away. It didn't bother me at all. Anyone can ask you for the same thing. Just say no and be done with it.

I wouldn't be surprised it they got a finders fee for everyone they get returned signed.
