RCI Web Site Issue?

Hi All, I have been an RCI Weeks member for many years (not a newbie) but have not been able to get into the web site for about a week (though my points account is fine). When I log in, there is no password error and it briefly resolves to the rci.com/pan-weeks-dashboard/ URL but then immediately goes back to the login page. This is in Chrome, Edge and even a newly downloaded Opera.

Anyway, two questions for everyone. First, has anyone ever run into something similar and perhaps know a trick?

Second, I chatted with reps Friday, Saturday, called Monday and Tuesday. Supposedly it's escalated to 2nd tier but I still have not seen an e-mail reply. Do you think I keep calling daily or take some other approach? It's discomforting that I can't see my trips...if a bank did this I would definitely close my account.

Curious if anyone has any nightmare RCI login stories they have to share, just to make me not feel singled out? :wall:
 
I guess nobody has run into this, but apparently they have lost all my weeks and although I was paid 5 years out the best thing I can do is setup a new account and repay. No suggestions as to how I would get my weeks back that I had already traded in.
 
We have been RCI members since 1982 and have never had anything even remotely like that happen to us. That is so bizarre that they lost your weeks and now expect you to pay for them again! I would be calling them every day -the squeaky wheel gets the grease!

We have always found RCI to be very good to us, even better than we expected when we had to cancel our exchanges to the USA during the Covid border shut down. They refunded our points and the exchange fee and extended the use year for an additional year as well as extending our membership by a year at no charge since we couldnt use it for 2020. They also stepped right up when we had to cancel an exchange plus a week at our home resort when I was diagnosed with cancer. RCI didnt need to be involved with our week at our home resort but I happened to mention our planned 2 week FL trip to the rep when I called to see what I could do with our exchange just a couple of months away. I casually said I guess I would loose our home resort week unless I could find somebody to rent it last minute. The rep said let me call your resort and take that week and bank it for you. I told her I had called and asked the resort about that and was told it was too close to check-in, but I said go ahead and see what you can do. Within a few hours I received a confirmation email from RCI with both weeks deposited into our account and the exchange fee refunded plus the use year of the points (for the exchange) extended for a year.

I do agree that the RCI website needs major work, and has for years. I get booted off regularly or get bumped back to the sign-in page instead of seeing my search results. I have reported such problems as getting search results from another part of the world from where I was searching and a check-in date calendar that came up all in Chinese -continuously for almost a week.

Resolution: They did finally fix it after 10-11 days, 8 calls and a dozen e-mails. I'm adding the solution in case it ever helps anyone. I've long had a weeks account but I recently purchased a time share with a points affiliation giving me the chance to starrt a new points account. I sent in the transfer form to get some (not all) of the points from the prior owner, however RCI didn't see it was a partial account transfer and transferred ALL the prior owners weeks and points to me. So of course the prior owner jumped all over this and pestered them until the bulk of his account was moved back.

However, when they moved the points account back to him they also moved my weeks account over. The prior owner never had a weeks account so now my weeks account was in limbo with neither of us able to see it. I think they called it a "9000" account meaning it was back room only? In any case, you can see how this happened...person B heard "move everything back except this partial transfer" and took it to mean the entire weeks account as well.

Everything appears to be back in place and working again. Whew!

@moonstone I love to hear the story...I plan to write this off as a one time even and working to become an RCI fan again :) I have heard they have been doing good things in Mexico recently as well.
