I've had a trade in the RCI system since early May looking for a week in Florida for March 09. I have been patient knowing that weeks in Florida during spring break are hard to come by. Especially since I was looking for resorts on the beach. Yesterday, I decided to go online and play around with my search to see what I could scare up. I changed my search to look for as small as a 1 bedroom anywhere in Florida. Guess what came up? Plenty of items that I was interested in in Daytona (Ocean Walk) and Pompano Beach. Ocean Walk is on the beach, yet I didn't get notified by RCI's system that I had a match. The Pompano spots are across the street from the beach but close enough that I"d consider them beach property. They are also Wyndam and I'm a Wyndam owner. What's the deal with the RCI search not matching me up with the Ocean Walk property? Should I call RCI and complain/question them? What if I hadn't been snoopy and gone in to the RCI site yesterday? I probably would have missed a great resort in a perfect location for spring break.

Wait until July 23 a bulk deposit from The Resort on Cocoa Beach will enter. It is currently in a 30 day VRI priority window.

Did you confirm what you wanted? If not, go ahead and do so. There's no reason to let it pass. Are you certain that your ongoing search correctly listed the area(s)/resort(s) and date(s) that you wanted?

Both RCI and II have been known to let some matching, available weeks go unconfirmed at times - don't know why this is. But if you spot what you want online - get it while you can!

Lisa - I went ahead and took the week at Daytona. Wish I had seen the post from Lgreenspan before I did since we love the Resort on Cocoa Beach and are in fact going there in October. I've just not had an experience like this with RCI and have always wondered if my searches are really "looking" or just sitting there. Thanks for the responses.
