RCI "Search First" Feature?

Hi Folks,

This is "explained" on the inside front cover of the Fairshare Plus 2008 Directory of RCI Affilliated Resorts.

I don't get it!

I understand that if a trip is confirmed that one pays with points, but I have the following questions:

1. Is this feature available only by phone?

The second to the last sentence reads:

If the request is not available and you choose not to continue your reservation search by finalizing the deposit, you have 48 hours to cancel your request for deposit with FairShare Plus and have your points returned to your FairShare Plus account.

2. What's there to cancel if one doesn't continue?

The last sentence reads:

If you choose not to make the deposit, you have 48 hours to cancel your request for deposit with FairShare Plus and have your points returned to your FairShare Plus account.

3. Isn't the above sentence the same as the other sentence?

I'm so confused. :confused:

Yes

2. What's there to cancel if one doesn't continue?
You asked them to move points from Wyndham to RCI Weeks, so if you don't find anything there that you want, you need to tell them to cancel/move those points back to Wyndham. If you don't do that then they're permanently in your RCI Weeks account for future searching but again only by phone.

Thanks rklein. I called RCI this morning and got a complete explanation. I'm no longer confused. :whoopie:
