I recently purchased a unit that gives decent PFD value. I am thinking about listing one of my points units in the bargain section. I have used most of my 2012 points through borrowing. I know I would be more likely to have a taker if I include the 2012 points. Are there restrictions for transferring PFD points? If I refill my points supply using PFD could I then transfer those points to the new owner with the understanding that they would not have any home resort advantage?

If I thought I could get the correct answer from RCI I would check with them but I have been given incorrect info before so I would rather rely on TUGGER's experience.

RCI's website always has good information. I would look it up.

As far as I can tell, all points in a member's account can be used during the home resort and home group booking windows. So, I think you could "top up" your account with PFD, then transfer as many points as you want (up to the total number of points in your account) to the new owner. The new owner should be able to use whatever home resort and home group booking windows apply to the resort that they own, I think. I do not think RCI tracks whether the points originally came from the week you sold or from some other source, such as PFD.
