I've spoken with others who have a problem with this. But I actually had a week reservation removed from my account during this 3 week window.
RCI is not confirming weeks through email for up to 3 weeks, and confirmed weeks aren't showing up in accounts right away. I reserved three separate 2010 weeks for summer in CA last month. Each took about 3 weeks to show up in my account... except for one of them.
I was searching another week, and ran across the week I had already booked as an exchange in the system. Knowing how rare this week is, I called RCI immediately. The VC claimed that I DID in fact have a reservation in my account for this week. I asked why there was another showing. He said he didn't know--- that maybe it's another deposit. I told him it's too rare of a deposit for this to happen. He assured me that my summer week was booked and in my account.
A week later, I called RCI again to ask why I'm not seeing it. They knew nothing about it... there's no summer CA coastal week in my account, and according to this VC, there never has been. It disappeared. Now, I'm waiting for my credit card statement to dispute this (and then, they'll likely only give me my $ back and claim they don't know why I was overcharged.)

So, the essence of the problem is the lack of timely confirmation notices via email, snail mail, or registering on your account. I never thought it would be a problem until I got a week removed. I have the confirmation # written somewhere, but all they have to say is, "we don't see that in our system" and what recourse will I have?

I reserved two 2010 weeks over the weekend. The first one was done online. I first put it on hold. I had to put in the CC information. When I went back to confirm, it asked for payment information again. So I called instead. The VC told me the CC I put in to hold the account was not charged. It took another day for the confirmed week to show up in my account. It still does not have point value listed. Says "Please call a Vacation Counselor for Point Value. "

I had to call to confirm the second week since I could not do it online. It kept telling me the week might have been taken. So I called and got the week confirmed with a confirmation number. It has not shown up on my account after two days. I called today to make sure I have it. I was told I definitely have it. I should be able to see it online, just in a different area. I could not find it anywhere. Email confirmation should arrive in 3-5 days.

I don't remember weeks reservation being so different. I hope my second week will show up online soon. I don't like having nothing official to refer to.

I've been experiencing this same stuff. I'm now printing my confirmation page after I've paid, my email confirmation... everything.

I did get my email confirmation yesterday, 3 days after confirmed on the phone. There is still not a trace of this exchange in my RCI online account though. I saved my email and printed it. I reverted my preference for email confirmation to regular mail. I'd rather hold on to a letter from RCI than an email printout.

I used points for a week exchange last summer and it never showed up in my points acount as a transaction- just a point reduction. RCI sent the confirmation by mail. Refused to sent it via e-mail. A few days ago I did another weeks exchange using my points account and the same thing is happening, except that this time I received an e-mail confirmation three days later. I really would like to have these transation show up in "my account" but was told they don't do this
