RCI OGS Date Range [Wyndham]

Ok, I feel like an idiot because I'm just not understanding the terms of an OGS set up with RCI. Can you ONLY match to a unit for a date within 2 years of the search origin date, or is there a way around that? What happens if you never match in the 2 years? Do you get your fee back or do you lose it? I have read so many different answers, and the RCI rep told me that there's no way to match for a date outside of the 2 years (but I've heard it all depends on who you talk to). What is your experience with RCI OGSes through the Wyndham portal? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi

I was told by rci (hgvc rep) that you can't search beyond 2 years from creation date of the OGS. Last week I learned that the 2 years limit can be pushed. To push it all you need to do is to change it. You will however still need to be within 2 years of today's date.

If you create an OGS today your checkin must be no later than 12/8/17. When we reach 1/1/16 you can change you OGS to a checkin no later than 1/1/18

I tend to believe this is correct because I had a search for Aulani that a few tuggers matched last week and I did not match and my search was older but my search became "inactive" since the dates were more than 2 years from when the search was set up. I started my search 2/2/14, one of the weeks deposited was 6/5/16.

I wish there would have been a way to see my search was inactive. Maybe someone more knowledgeable will know a way around this.

I am in the exact situation as you are lisa3635. My OGS was set up 3/14/14 and did not hit for Aulani either. I amended my search and removed some dates in March 2016 and my OGS disappeared. I called RCI and was told I'd never match with my OGS because it was outside of the 2 years from creation (May 2016-Aug 2016). It shows on their system, but it is not showing on the Wyndham portal when I log in, so I can't even fix it. Ugh.

Same thing has happened to me but via hgvc portal. My oldest searches were set up jan 2013 and newest search was set up aug 2014. I did not match anything for aulani that others have hit with newer searches than mine. Called hgvc and rep said my search should have hit. Well at least it must be an rci thing as i am using a different system portal.
