RCI, II, HSI - Advantage program?

I’ve quickly poked around but see no mention of the Holiday Systems International or Advantage Program.

I’ve recently returned from the Bahamas and went to a time share presentation at Ocean Reef Vacation Club and they offered a no maintenance fee package.

Here was their offer:

- 3 RCI weeks starting at $100 every year.

- 5 getaway packages per year.

- 10 premium weeks through Ocean Reef

- Enrollment into the Advantage Program through Holiday Systems International for Maintenance relief

- Enrolled into RCI, HIS and II.


They mentioned I’m not bound to a certain week and free to use the 3 weeks whenever I want, which I presume is through the HSI. If I book one of the weeks through HSI it is $109, through RCI it is $250 and II is around $100 also. So it sounds like I’m just paying to use my weeks which I would think comes in cheaper than a yearly maintenance fee.

I understand how a traditional timeshare works but I’ve never heard of the Advantage program so I’m not sure what to make of it. Has anyone here used it? Heard of it? How does it compare to a traditional time share cost wise?

Sounds like a travel club.... I would walk away, until I had enough research on them. My guess if you want access to RCI and II by 5 or 6K WM account. They are less than 2K. You can register this one account with RCI and II, MF would be around $650 a year plus RCI and II dues if you want them. You would have access to RCI and II last calls and getaway deals. The 6K credits can get you an exchange week every year if you wait till the 4K window. Or you can get a WM getaway yearly, but may have to borrow some of next years point for a weeks stay at some resorts.

If you just want RCI and there last calls, find a low point Wyndham contract, 28K points. You can't do much with 28K, but you will get RCI with your club dues. Your MF would run around $185 a year.
