Resorts Owned
Currently: WorldMark, Vistana & HGVC

Previously: FSRC & DVC
RCI has two cash rental options - RCI EXTRA VACATION & RCI LAST CALL.

Currently, HGVC members only have online access to book RCI Last Call. Last Call Vacations are last minute getaways that are available to confirm within 45 days of check-in. These are basically the leftovers.

For those who are curious on what’s available online via RCI Extra Vacation, there’s currently an offer link on the HGVC RCI HOME PAGE that will give you online access to Extra Vacations however the prices are still hidden and you have to call to book. But it gives you all of the resorts and dates currently available through RCI Extra Vacation up to 24 months out including HGVC resorts.

Here’s an example of what’s currently displayed via the HGVC portal

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO
Once you access the RCI site via HGVC’s portal, you’ll see the offer link on the home page (see upper right hand corner)

Once you click on the special offer, you can remove the restricted special offer in the upper left hand column to gain access to all current availability through 2021 then search RCI as normal.
NOTE: I normally filter it down to USA and sort by Reviews-descending.

Happy hunting

Excellent! Thank you! Maybe we could get these instructions put in a "sticky" on this forum?

Kurt

You’re welcome :)

Once the promo expires, the offer link will probably disappear.
I wonder if HGVC members were suppose to see that link but hopefully the link will remain for a while.

Shoot. Offer tab does not appear on my screen. This would have been really handy. I hate playing "20 questions" with reps to see what's available.

I can still see it. Make sure you’re on the Home Page. Click on the HOME icon.

On the Home Page, you’ll see your information (name, address, telephone number, email address, total points, etc) in the blue box in the upper left hand corner and the blue box titled MY OFFERS will appear on the opposite side in the upper right hand side. It’s not one of the tabs which are located in the middle of the screen (see screen capture below). Click on the 10% off listed.

Just tried it again via HGVC portal. Unfortunately, not on my screen. I don't have the offers box, see below. Do you have a separate RCI Account that might trigger the offers?

That’s weird.
I wonder if RCI Accounts are setup differently for HGVC owners vs Hilton Club owners? :ponder:
I think you only own NYC W57th. Correct? Can any other W57th owner see the offer link?

It’s not on mine and I am only HGVC.

Thanks dayooper
Well that shoots that theory. I'm sorry some of you can't get access :(

I also have access to RCI when I log into WorldMark's RCI portal and WorldMark is actually displaying three offers. This is just one of the three.

We own both bHC and HGVC club. I noticed that the HGVC portal links to RCI changed a few months ago. The RCI links are now more buried and not directly accessible from a dropdown. But there is a link to RCI when I scroll down the page on the main dashboard. Perhaps this is a different version of the HGVC interface?

My theory is it may be showing up on accounts for people that RCI knows have another account that has full RCI access. That way they are reminding you to check out the extra offers you will have access to on your other account.

I thought that too.

For the folks that can't see the RCI offer via HGV, do you have available 2019 HGV points? I still have 2019 HGV points available and can see the offer.

It really shouldn't matter whether you have 2019 points available, since you're paying cash. Just a theory.

I was able to test a workaround with some help from my TUG friends.

For those that don't have the link, you can use a url....
Once you get to the RCI Home Page, copy this url and click enter. You should see "Extra Vacations" in the left hand column. When you select a resort the available dates will display similar to the 1st post in this thread

Happy Hunting :)

I have an HGVC portal access and other RCI accesses. I see the specials.

I suggest that Tuggers start writing HGVC for direct online access to RCI Extra Vacation.

RCI has the ability to support access via their portals. Disney and WorldMark members have online access to RCI Extra Vacation through their corporate portal. HGVC owners may be the only RCI members who don’t have online.

RCI Last Call only gives you access to the lower demand/leftover weeks within 45 days of checkin vs RCI Extra Vacation that gives you access to inventory up to 24 months out.

This workaround only provides you access to the dates. You still can’t see prices or book online :wall:.

+1 II allows online access to cash getaways to members as well. HGVC owners are at a disadvantage compared to the industry.

This workaround helps a lot to pinpoint options saving me and CR time. It must be expensive to have CRs to support searches. Pricing would help a lot too.

It’s a real bummer that we don’t have full access to RCI. It would be nice to have access to the Extra Vacations, and other things like airfare.

Do you mean using points towards airfare?

For most folks, exchanging points for either airfare, cruise, hotels, car rentals doesn’t provide any sort of saving. You really have to own a timeshare that has extremely low MF to gain any sort of savings. Similar to HGVC’s partner perks, most folks using these options are simply trying to get some sort of value from their week instead of just letting it expire.

Great point! We know club points don’t transfer very well, dunno why we didn’t think of that in RCI. Thanks!
