This probably has been addressed before, so excuse me in repeating the question...
I'm thinking about booking a 4 night stay through RCI this coming July while there's still availabilty in a unit I'm interested in, but I'm concerned that what if something I like better comes along, how easy is it to exchange the reservatons? Is it even possible to take the points from RCI and place them back to HGVC?

Secondly, thinking of heading to Orlando for 2 nights (a Fri & Sat) this coming November 18th & 19th. As of now there's only a studio available at parc soleil for those specific dates. Anyone know the odds that more units will be available come open season time?

Thanks in advance for the input.

From my understanding you can cancel your RCI reservation. You will lose your $199 fee for originally making the reservation with RCI however...

Open Season is leftover inventory and 11/18-19 is beginning of Thanksgiving week break, so I would not expect to see more inventory for that weekend.
You can cancel RCI exchanges until 30 days from check-in and get your points back and lose your exchange fee.

There always seems to be some type of open season available in Orlando somewhere. I've even been able to get 3 bedrooms during spring break. I think that Parc Soleil has less open season availability as the other two resorts. Probably because of the novelty of staying in the newest resort or maybe there are just less units, not sure. If you really need the weekend and only want to stay at Parc Soleil then I'd probably go ahead and book the 3 nights to make sure I got what I wanted. Since that's so close to Thanksgiving it might be risky to wait. I see 3 nights available in both Parc Soleil and I-Drive with check ins on Thursday. A unit at Parc Soleil with check in on Friday. Pretty slim pickins that weekend. :crash:
