RCI Exchange Cancelation, 1 in 4 rule?

Some Qs as newbie about RCI. (Cross posted; had asked at RCI via HGVC & lots of folks punted as most don't use RCI via HGVC apparently, hence asking here)....

Can you cancel an RCI points exchange reservation online?
(does not seem like I can)

Looks like RCI has 24 hr grace period for cancelation (to get Points & exchange fee back).
What if one books on Saturday (& their phone reps & online chat, are closed on Sunday)?
Ok to call Monday to get exchange fee & points back?

What is best way to connect with RCI to cancel: ? Call them or live chat?

Re 1 in 4 rule for RCI bookings? (? enforced by resort or RCI)? Are they strict with this or varies?
What if one books a reservation at same resort via RCI exchange? RCI allows one to book it but will the resort later cancel & would one lose all the HGVC club points & exchange fee (or RCI does not allow one to book)?

I made a few reservations but looks like RCI portal is finicky: sometimes one doesn't see some of the reservations (sometimes Reserv A missing, sometimes Reserv C missing, at difft property etc): Is this normal RCI/Wyndham feature/IT glitch or anything else? (I did receive email confirmations of exchange reservations).

I have always been able to cancel points reservations online and if within grace period everything comes back but that is plain RCI points not HGVC. I prefer chat to calling when it is something I need to call for but sometimes chat says only calling will help. If I then call 50/50 time that agent says they can't help and refers me to an email for contacting RCI. I don't know if contacting on Monday would help. If you have to call to cancel, I would avoid booking if I thought I would need to cancel when RCI is closed. If you call tomorrow, hopefully they will be able to help you.

Maybe it is buried in options: could you possibly share where the option may be...

It should be under Trips (upper right-hand corner once you access the RCI portal it'll have Book, Trips, and Deals next to the bell alert icon and the person icon).

Have the trips but no option to cancel with any of them unfortunately....

I don't usually use HGVC points for RCI bookings, too expensive I think, but better than losing them I guess. What I wonder is for those of us with multiple RCI accounts (I got one from Wyndham, one from HGVC and one from RCI Points) - is the 1 in 4 per RCI account? I would read it that way, but I suppose it could also be per person, though I kinda might risk them not figuring it out with some cheaper points anyway...

Unusual year for me as I have 8+ weeks with WM booked (& as worker bee, get only limited time off) & hence likely won't be using all of my HGVC pts this yr...
Likely will exit WM end of this year after using the credits (we already paid for) this year, and then just use the HGVC pts/stays...
Hence, was looking at booking RCI, as these are saved HGVC 2026 pts (from 2025) which will expire end of 2026.
Better use/save in RCI than lose altogether...
