We were in Cabo San Lucas and picked up a newspaper called Gringo. There was a Timeshare section and this is one of the items:

Kenneth N. May, president, CEO of Resort Condominum Internation and Wydham Vacation Exchange and Rentals business unit, worldwide, has resigned suddenly.

Another item classified as possible rumor: Shell Vacations Club has purchased inventory 'on our fourlane' whatever that means.

And yet another rumor: Interval International is about to be spun off into a separate publicly traded company by the parent company IAC.

DaveM - here is Gringo's email address: Mikezmanphd2004@yahoo.com if you want to inquire further!

This one is in the consideration when they (IAC) announced the last quarter earning. They believe the company is too diversified and loss the focus.

The sacking of Ken May at RCI was long overdue. This guy is the Darth Vader of timesharing, and responsible for most of what is wrong with RCI today.

Timeshare exchange companies operating as part of a conglomerate has also been a major factor in some of the anti-member moves that have occured.
