RCI and trading HGVC Home TS

We purchased our HGVC MarBrisa TS for open season and other perks. We are local and a large family so MF and location isn’t an issue. My questions are do I need a separate RCI membership to access other RCI properties? Wanting to maximize our exchange for multiple short stays, when is the best time to book? We hope to travel offseason WestCoast. TIA

No your RCI membership is included. You can find the link after you log in.

HGVC has a corporate (b2b) arrangement with RCI for use it's members.
After you log in, you are taken to the dashboard, where you'll find a link.
Click "Manage my RCI account." Check off "Agree to Terms" and voila!
The world is your oyster.

Timing is hit or miss. It pays to be flexible as to time or place, or both.
