Yes KT, I know all about the GM, MP 1 in 4 year rule. RCI has the Mayans divide in different groups....lead resorts, and certain resort ID numbers are grouped together and the 1 in 4 applies, then there is another group and a 1 in four apply there. So, the answer is No, I have not violated this rule. Remember this reservation is 1 1/2 years old. I did accidently book into the wrong Mayan one time, and RCI called me within a week about the violation. At that time, I asked if my GM in NV was in violation, and she said no. To be sure, I called RCI a couple other times to check this.
To date, I have heard these excuses from RCI: 1. GM overbooked (NOT TRUE....I went on orbitz...there IS availability) 2. OOPS
3. I cancelled it....WRONG
4. 1 in 4 violation......NO....then why did they try to appease me with a reservation at the Mayan Palace
I would like to know.....How do the Mayans have access to my accounts with RCI, and how do they cancel that reservation without RCI approval. How does the Mayan credit my Exchange deposit back to me when they DO NOT have this information. Something is not right here, and I think it is RCI.
