Have a week with Napa/Riverpoint which is a right to use timeshare, good until 2032. What experience does anyone have with doing a quit claim back to the developer to stop the MF? The unit has traded decently but I'm looking to purchase a different resort with better trading and I rarely use the facility, any other advice ? Thanks

Maybe

If they agree to accept it and release you from ownership/fees it is an inexpensive way to go. They may also make you pay transfer a fee and/or closing expenses to complete the "sale". But if they don't agree to accept it you cannot simply quit claim it to them, record the deed and be free of the obligation. That won't work if that was your thinking.

This resort's ownership doesn't transfer by deed.. It is an internal transfer.. You don't even have a legal description to use for a quit-claim...

These ownerships sell fairly routinely if priced correctly..
