For years I worked in Wisconsin with a lady who was big into Quilting. She retired shortly after I moved to Hawaii. When she retired, she moved to Florida and opened up The White Daisy Quilt Shop in Punta Gorda.

She heard about the flooding In Hawaii and she knew I lived on Molokai. When she heard Molokai was affected, she contacted me and asked if I could help make sure I could distribute some quilts her group made to help out.

I contacted Molokai Cares and they were very happy to take the quilts and get them distributed. They said they already new one Mother who was affected just had a new born so one was already accounted for.

Here is a news story telling about the work Molokai Cares has been involved in since the flooding.

Here is the link for The White Daisy Quilt Shop. They also sent 25 quilts for the Oahu flood victims.

Here are some pictures of us handing off the quilts today.
