I've heard that owners (and exchange), can not use anymore JWMarriott's spa, gym and pools. AFAIK villas I had access to all of the amenities of the hotel but not villas II. Is it restricted now also to the villas I ???

The lovely people that own the Desert Springs Marriott hotel (Host Hotels and Resorts) will allow you to access their fiefdom for a fee, based on the level of access that you would like and the number of days that you would like that access. I suggest you call the Front Desk at the Villas for specific pricing.
From the perspective of this one owner, I would be delighted if you joined us and others in boycotting the hotel. While such an action unfairly effects the employees, it's my opinion that the owners of the hotel need to know that the villas owners do not support their adverserial culture or decision making.
