Anyone TUG have any experience with Rome Marriott properties. A few years ago, we stayed at the Palazzo Naidi Dedica Anthology. Unfortunately, no longer a Marriott property. If all goes well with traveling again, we are meeting our son's family in Rome at the end of November, 2021. We plan on getting there 3-4 days earlier, so we are ready to go once they arrive, and plan on getting a room on points. The two, we are considering is the Pantheon Iconic Rome Hotel or Rome Marriott Grand Flora. We also are Titanium, so wondering if any experiences with elite benefts.

We've stayed at the Grand Flora twice, upgraded on both occasions with the second time being the Presidential Suite which was amazing. Very much enjoyed breakfast on the roof terrace overlooking the city. I know some people haven't been particularly impressed with it but I'm wondering if they experienced the standard rooms.

I stayed at the Grand Flora on points in Oct 2019. The location was ideal. We walked throughout Rome and when we needed to taxi it was reasonable. We were three so I needed to book the bigger room. It was a 2 bed 1 bath. The bath was bigger than I thought. The bed in the second room was a pull out. No complaints. As titanium, we were offered the free breakfast on the roof terrace. It was a nice benefit, but I was not impressed with the food. All the hot food was always cold. I don’t mind eating light so the yogurt and fruit was enough. I was able to save my appetite for the incredible food I experienced for lunch and dinner and topped it off with gelato. We took a fantastic cooking class and had a wonderful day trip to Southern Tuscany. PM me if you have any questions.

We've been to Rome 3 times. Stayed at the Marriott Grand Flora first visit. It was fine but I wouldn't say it was outstanding. Next 2 visits we stayed at the St Regis. That was incredible. Last time we were able to use Bonvoy points - lots of points but worth it.

We stayed at the Pantheon shortly after it opened ~3 years ago. Upscale; modern. Delightful roof garden with delightful views. Great location (a block from the Pantheon -- duh). Would definitely stay there again.

Palazzo Naidi Dedica Anthology WAS one of the best hotel experiences of my life! The elite breakfast was fit for an Emperor! Too bad it's no longer a Marriott Autograph.

Totally agree! We put in for the suite nights and they gave us one that was amazing. It has 3 patios overlooking the Republica. As stated, breakfast was unbelievably, wonderful. Sad and surprised, it left Marriott!

Leaning, now, towards St Regis, on points. Is the location good?

We were fine with it. Check out Google Maps. We used the "Big Bus" hop on hop off for one day. There is a stop a couple of blocks away and it was a great way to get around and see the city.

I have to second St Regis. Location was great, not far from where Palazzo Naidi Dedica Anthology is/was located. We also used Big Bus and it was great to just walk to Termini to catch the bus. As for them honoring Elite benefits, we were Platinum at the time (new platinum after changes). I don't think we got a room upgrade, or at least they didn't tell we did. We found the room to be quite large with a very large bathroom also. We had an interior courtyard view. The room was fantastic! We also received daily free breakfast at the buffet downstairs which helped us save a lot of money on food by not having to go out for breakfast. There is also a nice restaurant across the street where we got pizza once and stopped several times for gelato. Also a small convenience market across the street too that we stopped into a couple times.

Going to book St Regis. We haven’t use any points since Covid so may as well. When my son’s family comes, he has booked a place nearer to Trevi, so this will give us another area to stay. Looking at points, it was silly to do 4, since same points as 5. Now just need to decide if package is worth the points. At least, it is fun starting to plan traveling again, just hope the light st the end of the tunnel stays bright.

One street over from the St Regis - about a one block walk - is a restaurant called Target. Went both trips. Very good and very convenient to the hotel. Need reservations. (Of course, no idea what restaurant situation is now with Covid). We were last there in Oct 2019 after a cruise.
