How do you know if they cancelled your rescission or timeshare after you request it to get cancelled?

You will receive the refund of any down payment or money paid. They may or may not send a letter or email.

Did you ever find in your contract the number of days in which you must request a rescission? Did you send it in time the way they say to?

Assuming you Postmarked your rescission letter within the legally allowed rescission time period you should be fine. Hopefully you mailed it via USPS Certified Mail and tracked everything.

They have no obligation in which to acknowledge receiving your rescission request but they do have to act on it by law. Allow up to 45 days for your refund.

I'm in a similar situation; I purchased additional points and sent a certified recession letter, but the new points appeared in my account. I had nine days to send and mailed it within that timeframe but it was delivered after nine business days. I presume they will remove the additional points from my BG account eventually? I guess I might have messed something up, which won't be that big of a deal if true, I just thought I'd wait to add points after more is known from the Hilton Merger.

My rescission went through and BG removed my points from my account and I'm back to my original number. I'm back to the secondary market! Fingers crossed!
