Starwood doesn't actually assign the unit numbers until 24 hours before check-in, so that may or may not be your unit. If you actually did get that unit, you would be only 3 units from the oceaning, facing north, towards Bldg. 5 and the Pirate Pool at WKORVN. You would have a good ocean view to the left. Did you look at the maps?

I think that is the second floor, standalone 1BR unit. You'll be behind the slide to the pool. The standalone 1BR is nice, but you'll be right over the water slide. Overall, you're still in paradise, though. I would be OK with this unit but it would not be the absolute best. I would prefer xx24 looking over the park next door, but again, I like the standalone 1BR than the ones attached to studios.

The standalone 1BR do have extra space because the foyer area is not shared with the the studio section (there isn't a studio section). They also have a little extra space compared to the other 1BR units in the building. They are also about a foot wider than the 1BR that are attached to a studio. I would prefer this over any unit less than x225, and probaly better than xx227 too.

If I were staying in a 1BR, the xx24 or xx25 units would be my choice.

I think you're thinking of building 3, not building 2...

I wondered about that. This unit should face WKORVN and the Pirate Pool.

When I looked a one of the maps, it looked like 2224 is facing Bldg 5 fairly close to the ocean front rooms. It doesn't seem to be facing a pool. I may be wrong though.

Should I be concerned that trees might be blocking the view if we are on the second floor?

Since the unit number is printed on my I.I. confirmation, I am assuming that this is the unit I am assigned to. I guess I will find out when I get there.

The Pirate pool is between Bldg. 2 and 5 - the Pirate Pool was built with WKORVN, so it shows on the North map, but not the south map.

If you look at this map - the pool is tucked back behind the bend in Bldg. 5 - it is directly to the right of the number 5 - but you can't see it behind the Bldg. You can also see the trees planted along Bldg. 2.

This map shows the pool, and the edge of Bldg. 2, and Bldg. 5

Starwood has always reserved the right to change the unit on your confirmation - owners don't even know what they'll get until check-in.

I'm pretty sure we stayed in the (incorrect) building 3 unit that was described...
