I'm hoping readers will grant me the...'there are no dumb questions' policy as I'm asking this one.

I am an avid reader. Have recently moved to new technology of Kindle Fire. I like it EXCEPT... I used to be able to pass along books to sister. Now, after paying $9.99 or more it appears it is a one person read. Am I correct?

Thanks in advance.

eBook DRM sucks.* These tell you what to do, some books can be lent once for 14 days, others can't and you need to lend by sharing your account passwords or by DRM stripping and making a backup copy.

What about setting up a dummy Amazon account to share between the two of you?

I use overdrive to borrow from the library. There are more books available than I could ever possibly read. It's all free.
