Q. about reservation spanning two years -

I was looking at availability at the end of the year, and some possibilities would span 2016 and 2017, i.e. start in December 2016, but end in January 2017. In such a case where would points come from, 2016, or 2017, or both?

To answer my own question: the points come out of 2016.
