I miss the pool so much. Maybe it will open 1 June.

If you have or had a lab this is funny but you know that dog is headed for you to shake off and from there into the house all muddy and wet. Still it's hard to begrudge your happy boy or girl a good time.

RIP Sparky, long gone but never forgotten.

Our Duchess had a dog door and could come+go as she pleased.
One day, she found a hole in the fence and went to a nearby mud puddle.
We found the LR covered in splatter and Duchess pleased with herself.

+1

Our Buddy would go in the pool, come back into the house via doggie door and usually get up on the family room sofa, but occasionally mixed it up and went upstairs on my daughters bed instead. That would always be discovered at bedtime, never before. We loved that dog's enthusiasm but it was a lot of work for us.

That looks like a dog who doesn't miss an opportunity to have fun. :)

Our beagle Zeke hated being wet and getting a bath, but we think he loved being clean based on his happy dance among the towels after we were done.

A few years before we lost our Corgis we took them to Seaside Oregon for the lowest tide of the year. Seaside is a very shallow beach and even with regular low tides you can walk out quite far. During the lowest tide you can walk out several hundred yards further. Andrew was having a grand time just plowing through puddles of sea water. Fancy was a bit more delicate about it jumping over puddles. At one point Fancy misjudged two things - how far it was from one side to the other and how deep was the puddle. She suddenly found herself in about 12 inches of sea water. She was not pleased at all and gave us a very accusing look.

We took Felix (tall GSP) last summer. According to our Fones we walked about 5 miles. Felix ran almost the entire time and must have run more than 10 miles. He slept the whole way home. Tthat evening when he woke up from a nap on the bed with Patti he whimpered. Apparently he was quite sore. We had to give him antiinflamatories for a couple days. But he did have a Grand Time.
