While there are dedicated 3BR and also 3BR lockoffs the units you buy are floating and you can book either.

I have tried several times to reserve a 3BR Gold Seafront lockoff at 13 months out (usually for June) and was always unsuccessful but always successful with the dedicated 3BR.

(Allegedly) 50% of the inventory is released at 13 months and 50% at 12 months. Based on post 5, there are only 5 3BR Seafronts, so maybe the changes at 12 months are better. I haven't tried...
Aside from the mystery about 2209, there are definitely 9 3BR Seafronts - 5 Lock Offs and 4 Non Lock Offs
We only own one 3 BR Seafront week here, so we book at 12 months out and even if it is not guaranteed we have always been able to book our week as a Lock Off to get 2 weeks, perhaps because it is Silver season?
The Deluxe Guest Room (Studio) is small by US standards, but it is the only MVC beach resort in Europe which offers these.
They are Seafront, with mini kitchens and balconies and they do trade well to larger units elsewhere.

I wonder if they are forcing those to be locked off. Could you book a smaller portion of a 3 BR at that time?
This is interesting therefore it does not matter if I am purchasing a lock off as long as it’s a 3 bedroom then I can request it.
As long as they are in the same category it does not matter. This is true for a number of resorts. For example, Harbour Lake originally only had 2 BR dedicated then later had 2 BR L/O added. But all owners there can book either type of 2 BR.

Probably makes a difference it's Silver season.

Ours is Gold and June is probably the highest demand in that season. With 5 lockoffs, and maybe only 2 available at 13 months, all is takes is a couple of multi-week owners who book consecutively 1 week ahead of me, and the lockoffs are gone...

I didn't try... I'm doing it at 13 months on the phone and trying to just get everything booked.

I just think it's an issue of availability. As mentioned in my prior post, weeks that I try to book at my 13 months "starting date", may be booked by others 1+ weeks earlier at their 13-month starting date.

That is good.
So although you wouldn’t actually own that specific fixed unit, as it would just be the one assigned to your ownership for contractual purposes, it is indeed a 3 Bed Seafront unit linked with 2210 as the Lock Off in Cadiz building.

I have another question for the expects here. There was no ROFR on this unit as it was waived. I tried to purchase one before and enroll my other resales and they were asking $40,000. That’s why I jumped on this when I saw it for resale. What do you guys think about enrolling this unit with a purchase?
My other weeks are MOW gold, MGC platinum, SBP gold plus. I have been exchanging my MOW for MGO and staying at SBP then visiting MOW for a beach day. My MGC is my trader.
On can Vistana enroll the Marriott units as it’s cheaper over there?

I don't think anyone has been successful enrolling Marriott weeks through a Vistana purchase. There might have been some the other eay around though.

I got offered an enrollment of my Marriott weeks at SVV a year ago but did not like what was offered and took an encore package.

That's very interesting! How much were they offering to sell you to enroll them, dollar-amount wise?

This is what I post back in 10/23.

Initial offer was $49450 - $21,000 equity for 2 SVR resales. I think I would pay like $28,000 to retro the 4 weeks. I would get 67,000 staroptions for that price . 1959 abound points. My figures might be a little off

What Marriott weeks were they letting you retro? $28k for 4 weeks sounds about right for what Vistana charges to retro normally. The floor has been $10k for the first VOI and $5k for each additional, so $25k for four of them. By all accounts cheaper than what Marriott charges to bring weeks into Abound.

Just an update . The 3 bedroom seafront at playa is indeed a lockoff. The seller locked off and booked the studio and 2 bedroom for me for May 2025. Excited about 2 weeks in Spain.
Now waiting for Marriott to take its 90 days to make the transfer. Hopefully some day I will get a good deal to enroll it with my MOW and MGC.
Thanks for the all the information.
