Le Bistro

Le Bistro has been our favorite restaurant since we've been going to P.V. some 20 years. We always go there a couple of times. Love the atmosphere and the food has always been excellent! Breakfast very good, too. We're going again in Feb and will be heading for Le Bistro again. Also, another of our favorites is to take the bus to Sayulita and go to breakfast at Rollie's.
BEST breakfast anywhere! Haven't had dinner there (he olny serves breakfast & dinner) because the latest bus goes back to
P.V. to early for us to stay for dinner, but if you have a car, I guess his dinners would be as good as his breakfasts. Maybe he doesn't serve dinner every night so check if you want to go for dinner. Maybe your resort would phone and find out for you
before you drive all the way there. But DO go for breakfast!

Le Bistro appears to still be in business according to an internet search.

I love El Tacon de Marlin across from the airport. Just exit and cross the pedestrian bridge. Worth the stop!
Another good one is 8 Tostadas.

El Patron - Walk east up the street from the Sheraton entrance (stop light) a few blocks on your left. It closes early

Our other favs have been mentioned above. But, there is a Tacon de Marlin a block up from the Shell station on the main road into PV past the Sheraton. It is just past Pepe's Tacos (good too).

We recently used bonus time at the Vallarta Torre. The small restaurant at this small resort is called Jardine del Sol and is is open to the public. Very good food priced a bit lower than a Dennys. Atmosphere is nice. They had live music most evenings. The restaurant was fairly full in the evenings from 6 - 8. Breakfast is really good as well.

Our tow favorite PV restaurants:
  • El Palomar de los Gonzales. Reasonably priced and wonderful sunset views.
  • El Arrayan. The menu here is focused on traditional cuisines of southern and eastern Mexico (i.e., towards the border with Guatemala). So not a place for fajitas, tacos, and enchiladas.
