After red light / green light customs
in which direction do you walk to get to the cab stand?

I will need a van to Gr Mayan NV and don't want to use their bus.

I have been told just walk to cab area and get cab
and I have been told there is a special booth to go to?

and of course avoid the sharks!

"After customs, turn left, taxi booth just before exit."

Do you remember if it's on right or left side?

But if you want the cheap taxis you need to walk past the taxi stand, exit the airport and cross the bridge to the other side of the road. Once off the airport property you don't have to pay the minimum airport fees. But if you have a lot of luggage it's probably not worth it.

Yes you can walk over the bridge and get an unregulated taxi there much cheaper. The taxis that run in airports throughout Mexico are federally regulated so thus their prices are higher......but if you have a lot of luggage this is not an extremely short walk across the bridge...it is a little of a distance compounded by luggage and tiredness.
