good evening....

The story continues....

Took those penalty box points for the cancel/rebook of the January Ski weeks and snagged 5 days in a 1 bedroom Summitt Watch 3/18-3/23. A 5 nite platinum ski trip made from thin air using the Puck Trick...

For those who missed it...

Took my 3 reservations at Mountainside 1/8-1/13 cancelled and rebooked within 14 days and got 20% (1200 ) pts back for free!!!

P.S I love my Marriott's too!!!!

Puck,

I'm so pleased that has worked out for you -- I still love this trick -- perhaps one of my favorite reservation tricks with Marriott. I'm very happy that soon you will be at your beloved Park City (and thanks again for holding the ressie for me until I confirmed HHV).

It reminds me of when I was at Maui Ocean Club BBQing (with my cookie sheet) and after 40+ minutes of animated discussion with the other BBQers, I realized I'd charred the food.

When I took the food upstairs and my lovely wife saw it, she looked over at me and said "Nice people downstairs?"

Today I am loving my Marriotts!

Best,

Greg

Would I ever be in trouble if I overcooked my wife's steak and it was beyond medium. I have to be careful while at the grills.

If this "puck trick" keeps getting discussed publicly, Marriott will probably close the loop hole. :D

You think? I am not so sure because some of these reservations may be being made with points pulled from the next year into the current year, and if that's the case then they will have to be used in the current year or forever lost.

Once points are pulled forward they can not be pushed back. So, I think Marriott does make out (profit wise) in points which are never utilized.

I think I would call it "Shrinkage".

Can you explain in more detail exactly what you are doing here. I am not familiar with this trick. maybe you can point me to a link that already has all the details explained.
