Procedure for "last minute rentals"?

Hi,

New here - been browsing, but haven't managed to find the answer elsewhere (apologies if I missed it).

I'm particularly interested in the "last minute rentals" - I realize I can PM the poster, but I was wondering if there's a standard operating procedure for the transfer of money and making sure that things come through as advertised?
