Prime Timeshare Rentals

I got a call from James Buonarosa at Prime Timeshare Rentals today saying he had someone who wanted to rent one of my timeshares that is reserved for a March, 2014 week. He's willing to pay a reasonable price for the rental and pay for it upfront after he gets a copy of my reservation and confirms it with the management company, per the rental agreement.

I rarely use third parties for my rentals, have never heard of this company or James and wanted to see if anyone knows anything about them. Here's a link to their website: http://www.prime-timeshare.com/index.html
 
I have done business with James before and he was professional and paid upfront. I believe that he has either recently started a new business, or moved from one company to another.
 
Hearing validation from Denise M. would be enough for me but allow me to also state James is fully legit as I've worked with him several times. I actually think him may be branching out on his own. At least that was the impression I got.

How did he get your number?
 
I have also rented a few times to James. As noted by the others, it looks like he may have changed companies. However, he has always be legit when I dealt with him.
 
I am not a scam been in the timeshare industry for over 20 years. I wasn’t this forum removed or I’m taking this website and who ever is questioning my ethnic and throwing my name around the market in a negative way. That’s bad for business. Please advise I want a call from the administrator regarding this forum as it needs to be deleted immediately

According to some of the posts upthread you do operate legitimately, which is great. But did you seriously just create a profile today to complain about an internet forum thread that was last active over 13 YEARS AGO? Any negative comments (I don't see any) have been long forgotten and nobody was paying attention at this point, but you resurrected them yourself and brought visibility to them after they were long dormant.

Also, I don't think your lawsuit threat will get you anywhere. In the United States, you generally cannot sue an internet forum for hosting disparaging content posted by its users. Federal law (Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act) largely shields website hosts and platforms from liability for third-party statements.

There seems to be some confusion here: I don't see anything negative in this thread? Just someone asking for a recommendation. In fact, it seems to be a positive thread.

As sponger76 wrote, this thread is 13 years old, and it was pretty much dead until James posted to it today.

Just to update - I have worked with James for more than 10 years, including within the last month, and he's great to do business with.
 
cant say ive ever seen someone demand a positive endorsement of them and or their business removed under threat of lawsuit.

that is a new one on me!
 
Honestly, as legit he may be, seeing his actions (and poor grammar - what are "Thank you and you get get" or "questioning my ethnic?") in this thread make me question his judgement and professionalism and far less likely to consider doing business with him.
 
the voicemail left was also quite fascinating. started off claiming he wasnt going to make any threats, then said he was going to sue(kinda seems like a threat), then called us assholes, then asked for a "polite call back".

I am genuinely at a loss here.
